Research fields in Solid State Chemistry

My research targets the synthesis and characterization by powder diffraction of fluorides, oxides and mixed anions compounds. I have extensive experience of the use of X-ray and neutron facilities to determine crystal structures and to undertake temperature-controlled characterizations of materials. The motivation for all studies is to relate the structural features of compounds to their physical properties.
